Children photography at the Horniman Museum, Forest Hill, London
London and its surroundings have so much to give so I think I need to show it off a bit more through my personal and professional photos and share some love to this beautiful part of the world.
It was the first sunny Saturday in a very long time… so we decided to head to our local museum, the Horniman Museum, in Forest Hill, which has so much to offer. If you’ve never been, everybody will say it’s quite hard to describe between the collection of stuffed animals, the living bees, the music room, the farm animals (alive!), the outdoor musical instruments, etc…
This time, we explored the temporary ‘Butterfly House’, which is a great experience for families to discover beautiful butterflies flying above your head, hooking on your jumper and simply enjoying a sweet and flowery meal in front of your eyes. It’s SO hot in there but these colourful specimens seem to love it. It’s quite small so it’s just the right space for little ones, I think.
After this tropical heat, we headed to the Saturday’s food market with suppliers of fresh and homemade produces:
we couldn’t resist the compotes, the falafel stand, fresh bread and croissants and we sat in the sunshine eating our lunch, like real Southerners do.
My boy hit some notes on the outdoor instruments, tried to climb a tree (with some help) and picked a whole bunch of daisies for me, which is adorable…
Then it was time to head back home… my restless little man feel asleep on the bus home, exhausted from all his adventures and discoveries.
